Aerogarden
I am starting this list out with a bang, the AeroGarden. Probably one of the most expensive things on this list but I use this almost everyday. The AeroGarden is a soil-free indoor gardening system that grows plants and herbs super fast. I’m currently growing basil, thyme, dill, chives, Thai basil, mint and green onions. Not having to spend money on buying herbs at the store is awesome, plus its a cool feeling being even the tiniest bit self sufficient. I hope to grow my indoor garden even bigger soon :).
My favorite recipe to make using any fresh herbs i have on hand is my thick herbed crackers, perfect for a cheese board or dunking into soups. Link to the recipe HERE.
Vitamix
I was very lucky to be able to inherit a Vitamix from my boyfriends mom because I truly love this thing, but it is pricey! Now that i’ve been using it for the past year or so i can say that it is worth the price. They’re powerful, clean super well, and very durable whether you’re blending a smoothie, soup, or making bread, the Vitamix is the best. My favorite recipe to use with the Vitamix is a Curry Spiced Butternut Squash Soup, recipe HERE
T-fal Nonstick 5 Quart Jumbo Pan
Over the last few months this T-fal pan has become my favorite and pretty much the only pan I need. Its nonstick making it a breeze to clean, its huge so I can cook pretty much anything in it and it was super affordable…doesn’t get better than that. My favorite recipes to make are the ones that require only one pot so its perfect 🙂 Check out my one-pot cajun pasta recipe HERE.
Large Cutting Board
This ones pretty obvious but having a large cutting board can save you so much hassle and annoyance. Having the space to prep on is what helps me enjoy cooking the most, it takes the stress away <3. My Go To cutting board is this Greener Chef Bamboo Cutting Board – 18 x 12.5 Inch
A Good Quality Knife
Having a nice knife can make all of the difference when prepping. I am no where near a “knife “expert” but i’ve been enjoying using this ZWILLING J.A Henckels carving knife that I inherited from my grandparents! It stays sharp so cutting anything takes almost no effort and only the slightest motion and pressure. If you find that your knife is constantly dull, its time to upgrade
Large Cast Iron Skillet
There are many reasons why I love my cast iron skillet – they’re durable, you can bake/broil things in it and they’re very inexpensive. My favorite thing to cook in a cast iron is a ground turkey Shepards pie broiled with cheese. We probably eat this meal 1-2 times per week, its a staple recipe in my household.
Well, thats my 6 kitchen tools that I honestly can’t cook or live without, leave a comment with your favorite kitchen tool you could not go without! ❤
